Tell Congress that Social Workers Deserve Better Support. 10,000 Letters Needed! Thank you to the 4,000 social workers who emailed letters to their Member of Congress regarding the Social Work Reinvestment Act. Nearly every member of the House of Representatives has received at least one contact and we now have 21 co-sponsors on the legislation. We need 10,000 letters or emails sent by the end of Social Work Month (March 31). If you have not sent your letter or email, please do it now by clicking here. You will need to provide your zip code.

Social Workers Make a Difference in the 2008 Elections. There are a variety of ways you can make a difference this campaign season. Run for office. Work on a campaign at the local, state, or federal level. Blog about your experiences on NASW's Advocacy Blog. Make a financial contribution to NASW's Political Action for Candidate Election (PACE), which endorses and financially contributes to candidates from any party who support NASW's policy agenda. PACE contributions are split between NASW National and your chapter so PACE can also influence races in your state. Learn more about PACE and getting involved here.

You will need your NASW username and password to access various parts of the PACE homepage. If you cannot remember your username or password, simply click "Forgot your username or password?" at the Member Login page. Or, call Membership Services at 800.742.4089 or 202.408.8600 ext. 499.
